OK Children’s Chanukah Party
 
On Monday, 27 Kislev, Third Day of Chanukah, OK Kosher Certification hosted a funfilled Chanukah party for the children of OK employees.

Over 40 children, KA”H, gathered at the Small Wonder Puppet Theater in Crown Heights for two fun and educational puppet shows. The first show told the story of Chanukah and the Maccabees’ miraculous success over the Greek army. The children enjoyed interacting with the puppets and cheering on the Maccabees as they fought the wicked King Antiochus! The second puppet show told a story about two brothers, wheat farmers, who always helped each other and the site of their farm became the site of the Beis HaMikdash. The puppet shows were followed by a spirited song session and the kids danced and sang with lots of spirit and energy.

After the shows, the children were treated to a special face-painting session by Penina Hanoka. Some children chose flower designs, others got sports designs, and many children chose popular Chanukah designs, such as latkes and Maccabee swords! While waiting for their turn at the face-painting station, the kids colored beautiful Chanukah pictures and Alef-Bais pictures.

The morning was capped off by a delicious lunch of pizza, French fries and donuts. Each child took home a Chanukah goody bag, filled with chocolate gelt and various Chanukah-themed toys. A fabulous time was had by all.
